Display
or Sell Arts & Crafts
Q: I would like to display and sell Asian arts and crafts
at the festival. Is this possible?
A:Of course, arts and crafts are a perfect way to
inform and educate the public about the cultural richness and diversity
of Asian Pacific American Heritage. Bonsai artists, rugmakers, weavers,
paper makers, and any others are welcome to join us. Sign up for a booth
and youll be ready to go.
Hosting a booth is simple: complete our online Booths form or e-mail us
for more info at [email protected]. To download the form, click here
Food
Q:
How does my organization or business sell Asian Pacific American food
at the festival?
A:Food is such an inherent part of the Asian Pacific
American cultures, and what better way to learn about it than to sample
the cuisine from the regions of China, India, Korea, Philipines, Vietnam,
Thai, Malaysia, Tibet, Japanese, and many more. Due to park regulations,
open flame is not allowed at any booth for cooking or heating of food.
A festival that lasts the whole day makes many people hungry and thirsty,
so CAPA encourages organizations and booths to sell food and drink. Selling
food or drink requires the hosting a booth, complete our online Booths
form or e-mail us for more info at [email protected] To download the
form, click here
Sponsor
the festival
Q: My corporation is interested in supporting
a festival such as this one. How can I find out more about sponsoring
the festival?
A: CAPA welcomes the participation of companies
that have an active interest in the Asian Pacific American community.
We have a Corporate sponsorship package that can be sent out to any corporation
that may be interested. E-mail us for more info at [email protected]
and let us know if you would like to receive our package in pdf format
or by mail.
Volunteer
to be a part of a committee and help plan the festival
Q: I'm impressed with all that CAPA does and would be interested
in getting involved. Who should I get in touch with?
A: CAPA is completely staffed by volunteers: the
preparation, planning and culmination of our efforts for the day of the
festival is rewarding and satisfying experience. Our staff of volunteers
get to meet a lot of great people, and we all learn about each other and
the community at large, Though we may work hard at times, we do get a
chance to enjoy it as well. Feel free to contact any of our committee
chairs or our officers to let us know of your interest. We have monthly
events and meetings which are open to the public, and committees meet
on a regular basis as well. Take a look at our committee
list and see what you might be interested in getting involved with.
Volunteer
for the day of the festival
Q: I don't have much time, but I would like to
help out on the day of the festival. How can I do this?
A: On the day of the festival, there is always plenty
to do. We do have a volunteer coordinator for the festival that directs
volunteers to the sections of the festival that need assistance at any
point in time. To volunteer, e-mail us at [email protected].
