Updates from the Asian/Pacific American Heritage Festival Organizers
Featured in "Best of the Fest" by TimeOut New York (April 20th - 24th, 2009)

Dear Distinguished Guests,
Of this I am quite sure, the 30th Annual A/PA Heritage Festival was a great success in the eyes of the A/PA community.
On a rainy Sunday, May 3rd, 2009, 2,000 people did not accept the drawing of any distinctions between volunteers in the various community organizations and members of the larger Asian American community.
It was formed at a moment of a rather rainy impasse as volunteers erected what few tents we had, and in doing so, sheltered numerous sections of our community at the same time.
Our volunteers' actions have received almost unanimous support of both vendors, community leaders, and entertainers present. To see their feedback, click here.
As Arline Loh noted,
My special thank you to all of our dedicated people [...] it was a wet, wet and wet day, all the volunteers worked all day long. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
In many ways, we could not have hoped for a more successful event.
Let us therefore wrap up our duties for the 30th annual A/PA Heritage Festival and note that our community festival is immortal, not because we alone have an inexhaustible voice, but because this community has a soul, a spirit capable of compassion, dignity, growth, and endurance. We invite you to join us and other community organizations we prepare to program next year's festival. Do email us at director@capaonline.org.
Truly yours,
